About Cindy

What I’m up to most of the time

I am currently a first-year PhD Student in Biostatistics and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, supervised by Stephanie Hicks. Prior to this, I completed my BS at the University of Toronto in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. There, I worked with Kieran Campbell on automated machine learning for predicting scRNA-seq clustering pipeline performance.

This past July, I presented my work with Kieran at BioC2022. Here is a recording of my talk.

What I’m up to the rest of the time

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, working out, listening to music, and reading.

Kombucha recipe by Jeffrey Im and myself, but mostly Jeff. My personal favourite flavours are raspberry, pineapple, and and concord grapes.

One of my favourite songs, by a band called Beach House. They happen to be from Baltimore!
